iiBV 100 – Introduction to Business Valuation
This course covers Basic Concepts and Tools for International Valuation and is a one-day course provided to students who need to familiarize themselves with some of the basic ideas and vocabulary that form the foundation of business valuation analysis. This course is a preface to the four Principles of Valuation (POV) courses that form the core international business valuation curriculum of the International Institute of Business Valuers (iiBV). The following basic concepts will be introduced and reviewed in the following chapters:

These subjects are introduced in their most basic form and will give the student the concepts, basic vocabulary, and analytical tools with which to successfully comprehend and retain the training provided in iiBV’s subsequent four core Principles of Valuation courses.
iiBV 100 assumes that the student has had no prior formal training in business valuation. A general business background, including knowledge of accounting, will help the student grasp concepts more quickly and successfully complete the four core Principles of Valuation (POV) courses required for accreditation. There is no exam for this course.
