Global promotion of best practices – ability to implement best practices from other business valuation organizations, including structures, governance, ethics and designation standards;

Become a Member of the International Institute of Business Valuers
Membership in the International Institute of Business Valuers is open to professional business valuation associations. The ASA, formed in 1981 and conducting its affairs in the U.S., and the CICBV, formed in 1971 and conducting its affairs in Canada, are the founding member associations.
Criteria for IIBV membership are set out in the By-laws, with a summary provided below:

Professionals who are looking to obtain a designation in business valuation should contact the professional organization in their country or contact the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) or the the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuers (CICBV) for information about their designations.
The IIBV courses are accredited by the ASA and the CICBV.
