TAQEEM Graduation Ceremony For Accredited Business Valuers

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (TAQEEM), the regulator for the valuation profession in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, celebrated the first graduation class of Accredited Valuers, Taqeem’s valuation designation, of 105 real estate valuers and 31 business valuers on December 20, 2017.

The graduates of the accreditation program included Muath Alkhalaf, the Head of Business Valuation Sector at Taqeem and the first female designated business valuer, Nouf Al- Toaimi.

Taqeem has also created the Arabic translation of the 2017 edition of IVS. Taqeem, as a member of the IVSC, has been working on the localization of the standards and introducing it to all Arabic-speaking valuers across the Arabic speaking countries.

Taqeem is a Member of the international Institute of Business Valuers (“iiBV”), and the iiBV provided assistance with business valuation education, consulting, and assistance through-out the accreditation process.

Soltan Aljorais, Secretary General of Taqeem, summed up the event by saying “It was an opportunity to honour the hard work and dedication of the graduates and celebrate the beginning of building a world class eco-system of professional business valuers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is an important milestone for the profession and was recognized by the attendance of H.E. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qassabi the Minister of Commerce and Investment,

Michael Badham, Executive Director of iiBV attended the ceremony held at the Prince Noura University. “It was a tremendous recognition of the quality of professional business valuers and the camaraderie of the graduates during the ceremony demonstrates that this is a collaborative professional community. Taqeem is a leader in the world of valuation professional organizations.”

Muath Alkhalaf, Head of Business Valuation for Taqeem added that “Taqeem appreciates the support given by the iiBV and its instructors. The quality of the instructors and course materials has raised the knowledge level of all BV professionals in Saudi Arabia. Taqeem will be offering a full program of business valuation courses in 2018, in Riyadh and Jeddah.”
