Anton Lezhja

Chair of Board of Directors

Anton Lezhja is a Director in the Financial Advisory Services of Deloitte Central Europe working in Balkan region (specifically Albania and Kosovo) and has more than 15 years of professional experience in financial advisory. He has extensive experience in business valuations, real estate & intangible valuations, feasibility studies and financial modeling, as well as M&A, privatizations and PPP’s.

Anton is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and holds a Corporate Finance degree from ICAEW. He is accredited as a real estate appraiser both in Albania and Kosovo, licensed by the respective institutions. He is the designated trainer of the Introduction to Business Valuation courses organized by Deloitte Central Europe and the appointed trainer for business valuation courses for ASA qualifications in Europe. He also provides training courses for real estate valuations organized by Albanian and Kosovo institutions. Anton holds a University Diploma (Engineering) from University of Tirana, Albania; Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

Edwina Tam

Edwina is a partner at Deloitte’s Hong Kong’s Valuation Advisory Services office, specializing in business and intangible asset valuations and corporate reorganization for both public and privately held entities involving mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, financial statement reporting including purchase price allocation under HKFRS/IFRS and US GAAP, tax reorganization, and litigation support.

Prior to her specialization in business valuations, Edwina focused on tax and estate planning for small medium enterprises and provided services in personal, corporate and trust tax, and tax planning in Toronto.
Edwina currently serves on the APEC/IVSC Taskforce focused on improving valuation practices in the APEC region. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant/ Chartered Accountant (Chartered Professional Accountants Canada), a Chartered Business Valuator (Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators) an Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation (American Society of Appraisers).

Peter Ott

Peter Ott, CPA, CA, CBV is a Chartered Business Valuator that specializes in the analysis and valuation of business enterprises, shareholder ownership interests, intangible assets, fairness opinions and valuation for financial reporting and taxation purposes.

Peter regularly participates at the Appraisal Issues Task Force (AITF), a US-based group of professional appraisers who meet to establish and interpret the use of fair value measures in financial reporting and work with the FASB and the SEC to evaluate proposals and recommend valuation methodologies and approaches.

Raymond Moran

Raymond Moran, ASA, MRICS serves as Managing Director in the FON Valuation Services group. Prior to joining FON, he was the CEO of MG Valuation, a firm operating in 17 countries worldwide.

Mr Moran specializes in valuations for cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and valuations in the Americas, Asia/Pacific, and Europe. Prior to forming MG Valuation, Mr. Moran was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of American Appraisal Associates Asia/Pacific operations, and before that managed the firms’ US real estate and machinery & equipment groups. He was also a Manager with Coopers & Lybrand, in their National Practice Office. He serves on the board of the International Institute of Business Valuers (iiBV), and chairs its marketing committee, promoting business valuation education
worldwide.

Mr Moran is a past editor of the American Society of Appraisers Machinery & Technical Specialties Journal, and a past member of the RICS Americas Plant Machinery Committee. His professional designations include Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers and Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Mr. Moran is a frequent speaker and author on valuation issues, having spoken in a dozen countries throughout North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific. He is a contributing author to Financial Valuation: Applications and Models published articles on the Valuation and Bankruptcy Laws and Regulations in India in Business Valuation Update. co-authored Foreign Investments in US Real Estate, published in American Real Estate and Services, and On-Line Exchanges and Auctions, published in the ASA M&TS Journal.

He has a BA in Valuation Sciences from Hofstra University, a degree program sponsored by the American Society of Appraisers.

Andrew Strickland


Chair Education Committee

Mr. Strickland is currently a Consultant with Scrutton Bland Chartered Accountants (UK). He holds a FCA (Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales [“ICAEW”] and from Cambridge University, a Master of Arts History. Mr. Strickland is a member of the FCA and a member of the Valuation committee of the ICAEW, completed BV101 & BV102.

Mr. Strickland has had articles published in the UK magazine “Taxation” on tax and valuation matters, including article on the control premium in UK valuation; article in Business Valuation Update (USA) on the bid premium and its misuse for determining minority discounts (with Bob Dohmeyer); and is a regular contributor to the newsletter issued by the valuation committee of the ICAEW to its members. He has also held presentations at the annual valuation conference of the ICAEW on the control premium, on IPCPL and on case study of valuation of a private company. Mr. Strickland has been a contributing member of the Education Committee of IIBV and is now the current Chair of the Education Committee.

Muath Alkhalaf

Muath Alkhalaf, ASA, oversees Valuation Control for the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia.

He is a professional with credentials in both business and real estate valuation. Prior to his current position, he was a Financial Analyst for EY and a Managing Director for KAFAA Valuation Advisory.

Mr. Alkhalaf presently serves as a Member of the Advisory Forum for the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) and as a Board Member of the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (TAQEEM).

He has been a designated member of ASA for the past two years.

The iiBV, together with its member VPOs, leads the business valuation profession globally by providing educational opportunities, promoting consistent professional ethics and standards, facilitating the exchange of information and ideas, and encouraging international co-operation and communication.

David Foster

CEO Business Valuation Resources


David L. Foster is the CEO of Business Valuation Resources (Portland, OR), an information-industry company he acquired in October 2005. BVR has the leading database of private company financials and sale prices, and is the premier provider of education and research for the business valuation and related professions. Prior to BVR, Foster was the founder and president of IOMA (New York, NY), the specialized management how-to publisher.

He has served on the boards of nine publishing companies in the past or currently, including publicly traded BNA (Washington DC), Kennedy Information (Peterborough, NH), Business Publishers Inc. (Silver Spring, MD), BNA International (London, UK), North American Publishing (Philadelphia, PA), Pike & Fischer (Silver Spring, MD), and FDA News (Arlington VA). Foster is a past president of the Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA), and served on its board from 1989-2001. He won SIPA’s highest honor, the Hall of Fame award for lifetime achievement, in 2000. He’s still active in SIIA/SIPA/ABM.

Stephen Kertzman

Stephen is a Director of the Business Valuation and Litigation Support Practice at BDO LLP at the Toronto Office. Prior to joining BDO, he was a Partner at one of Canada’s largest boutique firms specializing in business valuation. Stephen has over 15 years of specialized experience regarding the quantification of economic losses for cases involving class action suits, breach of commercial contracts, intellectual property and personal injury matters, and has appeared before the Superior Court Justice of Ontario (Canada) as an expert witness.Trained in the financial, accounting and legal fields, his detailed and comprehensive expert reports have benefited clients in complex litigation matters regarding loss quantification, business valuation and financial investigation issues.

Stephen is a member of the Education Committee of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV), has co-authored the Course Notes for the Litigation Accounting courses and the Law and Tax course offered by the CICBV. He was the Canadian Course Leader for the CICBV’s Litigation I and Litigation II courses whereby he was responsible for setting and marking exams and advising on curriculum content. Stephen has also authored various papers on the subject of damages quantification and made presentations regarding business valuation issues. He has prepared case study materials for the Advocates Society, University of Toronto Law School and many of Canada’s most prestigious law firms’ advocacy training programs.

William A. Hanlin, Jr.

William A. Hanlin, Jr., is the founder and managing partner of Hanlin Moss Yi, PS, a firm of certified public accountants and valuation analysts, with offices in Seattle and Xi’an, China. The firm provides general auditing, accounting, and tax services, as well as specialty services in connection with business planning, business valuations, estate planning, litigation support, and other non-traditional disciplines. Mr. Hanlin heads the Firm’s effort in the areas of valuation services and fraud/forensic accounting.

Mr. Hanlin is the current President & CEO of International Association of Certified Valuation Specialists (IACVS), a non-profit organization with the mission of promoting best practices and transfer of knowledge in the business valuation and fraud prevention field. He is a part-time professor and research fellow at the Chinese Central University of Finance of Economics. He is an honorary member and serves as an advisor to the Standards Committee of China Appraisal Society under the leadership of China Ministry of Finance. He has been invited as keynote speakers for various professional forums in the USA, China, Germany, Ghana, Korea, France, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippine, Indonesia, and Brazil etc.

ZHUANG Wei

Mr. Wei Zhuang graduated from China Academy of Fiscal Sciences with PhD in Economics. Now he serves as the Vice Secretary General (Deputy Director-General Level) of China Appraisal Society (CAS). Mr. Wei Zhaung has over 25 years of experience in area of taxation and public finance. He started his career in the Shanghai Municipal Tax Service of State Taxation Administration in 1998, and he was transferred to Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau in 2002. Prior to joining CAS, Mr. Zhuang served as the Division Chief in the General Office and the Department of Administration and Law Enforcement of Ministry of Finance from 2013 to 2021. After joining the CAS, he has been in charge of construction of valuation standards system and valuation profession development research.

Johnnie White

ASA, MBA, CAE, CMP – RICS


Johnnie White, CEO, Chief Executive Officer/Executive Vice President of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), is responsible for the oversight and management of the Society’s business and executing the directives set by the ASA board of governors and its executive committee.

 Johnnie is an association professional with close to 30 years serving in a variety of management and leadership roles. Most recently he served on the executive leadership team of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and prior to this position served as the Executive Director of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation. In addition, White serves as an adjunct faculty member of Georgetown University and the Northern Virginia Community College.

White holds his M.B.A. from University of Maryland University College and his B.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland. He has served in volunteer leadership roles for the American Society of Association Executives and the Professional Convention Management Association and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his association work, including being named one of the top 40 Trending Association Innovators by DCA Live in 2017.

Dana Ababei is an authorized investment consultant and is the CEO of CMF CONSULTING S.A. with over 20 years of experience in business, intangible assets, real estate and personal property valuation and also holds the qualification of “Valuation Reviewer”.

Dana is the President and Chairman of the Board, and has been a member since 1997 of the National Association of Romanian Authorized Valuers – ANEVAR which includes more than 4100 individuals and 540 companies. The authorized valuer, members of ANEVAR mainly perform the following activities: business valuation, real estate valuation, movable assets valuation, valuation of shares and other financial instruments, valuation of goodwill and other intangible assets and review of valuation reports.

Mr. Cardoso has years of experience in valuations of tangible and intangible assets, handling due diligence and supporting services in engineering and environmental assets. Mr. Cardoso has a Master in Business Administration specializing in Finance, Business and Intangibles Valuation. He is a Certified Administration Board member by IBGC. As an advocate for standardized business valuation practices, Mr. Cardoso is also a Member of The ARM Committee of the American Society of Appraisers, Brazil Liason Director, and a Member of the Board of the International Institute of Business Valuers (IIBV).
